1. Who we are
SalesRocket is provided by Generic Exception Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 201301032298 (1062127-K)) ("we", "us"). This notice explains how we handle personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").
2. What this notice covers
- Website visitors and people who contact us. We decide how this data is used, and this notice applies in full.
- Leads and buyers in SalesRocket. Property developers ("Customers") use SalesRocket to manage their own leads and buyers. The Customer is responsible for that data, and we process it on their behalf under our Terms of Service. If you registered interest in a property project, please contact that developer about your data.
3. Data we collect
- Demo requests. The demo form does not send data to our servers. It opens WhatsApp with your details filled in. We receive them only if you send the message, together with your WhatsApp number and profile name.
- Website analytics. Google Analytics records how the website is used, such as pages viewed, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. See Cookies and analytics.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider may log standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
- Customer users. Account details such as name, work email, mobile number and role, and technical and usage information about how the service is used.
4. How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and arrange demos.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To provide, secure and support the SalesRocket service.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. Google processes this data for us. We do not use advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The website works without them.
6. Sharing and transfers
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and the service, such as hosting, Google (analytics, and Gemini AI where a Customer enables it) and Meta (WhatsApp), and with authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside Malaysia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the data is protected to a comparable standard, as the PDPA requires.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA you can:
- ask for access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or out of date;
- withdraw your consent, or ask us to limit how we use your data, including for direct marketing.
